A New York native, Stephen began working in NY theatre as a production assistant (while still in High School) on such Off-Broadway shows as LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, BLUES IN THE NIGHT and STARMITES.  Studying at NYU- Circle in the Square and Musical Theatre works he has been at home in both the worlds of plays and musicals.  He is currently co-bookwriter for FOREVERMAN (with Brett Boles). He has developed new works with BMI, NAMT, NYMF, The York Theatre, Emerging Artists Theatre, Musical Theatre Works. His production of A CHORUS LINE at the Olney Theatre received the 2014 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Resident Musical.  He has also received the NC Triangle award in 2003 for WEST SIDE STORY, the 2004 NH Spotlight Award for Best Musical Production - CHICAGO and the 2010 Olympian Award for Best Musical Production - RENT. www.stephennachamie.com
